Plan Ahead To Keep It Off On a Weight Loss Diet

You tried your best, but that piece of pecan pie somehow found its way onto your hips, so how do you keep your low carb diet on track when faced with temptation? Just follow these 7 secrets for keeping your low carb diet on track.

    Increase your exercise
If you know you are going to be tempted at a special event to splurge on some high glycemic carbs, pick up the pace of your exercising for several days. It just takes 5-10 minutes more of cardio to help burn those extra carbs.

    Cook extra low carb veggies
It's amazing how easy it is to grill extra veggies and keep them in the fridge for snacking instead of grabbing that high glycemic carb. Loaded with fiber, these veggie snacks can be dressed up with balsamic vinegar, shredded cheese or even some nuts for a special treat.

    Set Personal Limits
I never let myself gain more than 3 pounds before firmly getting back on track, so set your own personal limit for action.
    Keep a Journal
Learn what worked for you before by reading your weight loss journal. This will help you recreate the right pattern of foods and exercise that resulted in your original weight loss.
    Get With the Program
Sudden weight gain hasn't sat on your hips for years, so strictly adhering to your low carb diet can shift the weight quickly.
    Plan Ahead
Know your eating strategy when attending special occasions. Don't skip breakfast to save the carbs as it will result in your overindulging from hunger.
Don't Delay in Taking Back Control
Deal with setbacks immediately instead of waiting for a magic day, such as Monday etc. The sooner you feel back in control, the less you'll give up on achieving and maintaining a healthy low carb lifestyle.
